Ante la efem\u00e9rides de los 500 a\u00f1os del encuentro de culturas Euro-Americanas, se ha despertado en la sensibilidad de los artistas Latinoamericanos, una necesidad de asumir por medio de su experiencia est\u00e9tica, una revisi\u00f3n del pasado, que descubre en la fuente inagotable de sus ancestros la posibilidad de nutrir sus hechos creadores. G\u00f3mez como otros artistas Americanos, sin propon\u00e9rselo forma parte de un movimiento &#8220;el revisionismo cr\u00edtico&#8221; que conjuga dos categor\u00edas: &#8220;lo ancestral y lo contempor\u00e1neo&#8221;. En la obra &#8220;ornamento&#8221; no hay creaci\u00f3n f\u00e1cil, ni goce est\u00e9tico simple. Es parte de un sistema organizado por el artista, en donde descontextualizando los c\u00f3digos originales de la t\u00e9cnica y el material, logra trascender la forma y expandir de acuerdo con la capacidad de interpretaci\u00f3n del espectador las posibilidades mismas de comunicaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-qi-blocks-divider qodef-block-container qodef-block-3fbf8ca6\"><div class=\"qi-block-divider qodef-block qodef-m qodef-layout--standard qodef-position--center\"><div class=\"qodef-m-line\"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This work by Alvaro Diego Gomez speaks in a very personal way about the historical moment lived by the community at the end of our 20th century. Before the five hundredth anniversary of the encounter between European and American cultures was commemorated, the Latin-American artists became conscious that a rereading of their past was necessary. By using their own aesthetic experience, they rediscovered their ancestors as an inexhaustible source for their own creation. Like other American artists, Gomez belongs to the movement called &#8220;revisionismo critico&#8221;, which relies upon the two categories of the &#8220;ancestral&#8221; and the &#8220;contemporary&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no easy creation in &#8220;Ornament&#8221;, nor is there a simple aesthetic pleasure. The work is one part of a system organized by the artist.
