Los nuevos conceptos del arte permiten interrelacionar expresiones y t\u00e9cnicas con otras disciplinas que tienden a borrar, un poco, su noci\u00f3n tradicional. El arte nace ahora de m\u00faltiples conceptos. Novedosos planteamientos permiten deconstruir, camuflar, desarrollar junto con otras disciplinas y otros procedimientos. Alvaro Diego G\u00f3mez, concibe su obra actual de esculturas y pinturas con base en procesos de descomposici\u00f3n de materiales org\u00e1nicos; realiza cultivos ferrosos sobre superficies sint\u00e9ticas y materiales diversos en ambientes h\u00famedos, para producir reacciones qu\u00edmicas de corrosi\u00f3n semejando explosiones en cadena de microc\u00e9lulas. El proceso dinamiza el color dando una gama que va, desde el negro hasta los terracotas y amarillos, pintando y despintando superficies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Esta innovadora t\u00e9cnica es el resultado de una minuciosa y paciente investigaci\u00f3n con materiales t\u00f3xicos, \u00e1cidos, fijadores sobre diferentes recursos que aceleran y detienen los procesos de descomposici\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n el agua, la luz, el fuego y el aire son agentes que combinan las reacciones qu\u00edmicas y ayudan a la creaci\u00f3n de la obra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Su obra tridimensional ha utilizado, desde diversas fibras sint\u00e9ticas, naturales y resinas, hasta bandas transportadoras industriales, piedras, metales y materiales reciclados. Su tem\u00e1tica se centra alrededor de su inter\u00e9s por las civilizaciones antiguas en contraste con la urbe contempor\u00e1nea y los c\u00f3digos universales. En su trabajo actual interpone figuras geom\u00e9tricas con siluetas de animales que se repiten alineadamente como jerogl\u00edficos o petroglifos, cortes arquitect\u00f3nicos, puntos y rayas. Estas \u00faltimas denotan la numerolog\u00eda Maya, hexagramas del 1-Ching y las primeras tarjetas perforadas de programaci\u00f3n de computador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new art concepts lead to interrelating expressions and techniques with different disciplines so that, -slowly-, traditional notions begin to fade. Art now emerges from multiple concepts. Working side by side with other disciplines and procedures, novel approaches lead to deconstruction, camouflage and development. Alvaro Diego Gomez conceives his current sculptures and paintings by grounding them on processes that entail the decomposition of organic materials. Using different materials, ferrous cultures are developed on synthetic surfaces, under conditions of varying humidity, to produce corrosions that resemble chained explosions of micro-cells. By this process colour is dynamized and gives way to a range of painted and “dispainted” surfaces, in colours that go from black to yellow and earthy tones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This innovative technique is the result of a patient and elaborate process of experimentation with toxic materials, acids ami fixatives, on different resources that accelerate or stop the decomposition processes. Water, light, fire and air are other agents that influence these chemical reactions and help create the work of art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For his tri-dimensional work the artist has used diverse synthetic or natural fibres, resins and all the way to industrial conveyors, stones, metals and recycled material. His themes are focused around his interest in universal codes, in ancient civilizations in contrast with the contemporary metropolis. Geometric figures are interjected with animal silhouettes that repeat themselves endlessly: hieroglyphs or petroglyphs, architectonic cuts, points and lines. They denote Mayan numerology, 1-Ching hexagrams and the first perforated cards used in computer programming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
